Antonio Narzisi is a Clinical Psychologist and a Researcher at IRCCS Stella Maris of Pisa (Calambrone). He is Adjunct Professor at University of Pisa and in 2017 he obtained the abilitation for Associate Professor in Developmental Psychology. His research is focused on the early diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and on the impact of treatment on the clinical outcomes of young children with ASD. Dr. Narzisi is certified for the use of Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) with ASD children.
He has also obtained clinical and research reliability for both the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). He was visiting scientist at Institute of Brain, Behaviour and Mental Health, University of Manchester. Dr. Narzisi was graduated in Psychology from the University ‘La Sapienza’ of Rome, Italy.
He obtained: (a) Ph.D in Developmental Neuroscience from the University of Pisa; (b) the certification in Clinical Pedagogy by the Italian Society of Psychology and Pedagogy; (c) the certification in Psychotherapy by the the Istitute of Gestalt (HCC-Italy). Dr. Narzisi works as Psychoterapist with preschoolers, adolescents and adults. Dr. Narzisi has been and is actually involved in several European and National research projects (i.e. COST Action BM1004 – MICHELANGELO (FP7 – ICT2011) – ASDEU – PRIMA PIETRA – ALERT). From 2012 he is Full Membership of INSAR – International Society for Autism Research. He is the author/co-author of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Narzisi has presented his research results at national and international scientific conferences in the USA, Italy, France, Spain, UK, Sweden, Malta, Canada, Ireland.
