Gianni Francesetti is a psychologist, Gestalt therapist and psychiatrist. He trained in Psychotherapy at the Venice centre of the Istituto di Gestalt HCC. He has carried out research work in the field of psychosomatic medicine and stress, working with French neurobiologist Henri Laborit, and has specialized in Chronobiology at Paris University. Previously a trainer in Ericksonian hypnosis and neuro-linguistic programming, he is now an invited international Gestalt therapy trainer at the Istituto di Gestalt HCC Italy. He is an Associate Member of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, Past President of the Italian Society for Gestalt Therapy, former Chair of the Training Standard Committee and current President of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy. He is Past President of the FIAP (Italian Federation of Psychotherapy Associations) and member of the board of directors of the SIPSIC (Italian Society for Psychotherapy). He is the curator and co-author of the book “Panic attacks and postmodernity”, co-curator and co-author of the books “L’altro irraggiungibile. La psicoterapia della Gestalt con le esperienze depressive” and “Gestalt Therapy in Clinical Practice”. His interests currently lie in the fields of clinics and psychopathology. He lives in Turin.
