Leena Petersen – Gestalt Psychtherapist (DVG, EAGT), BA (HU Berlin), MA, PhD (Sussex University UK)
Leena is a Gestalt psychotherapist, trainer at the Hamburg Institute for Gestalt-Oriented Training (HIGW), trauma therapist and supervisor (EAGT). She works in a private practice and also offers trauma therapy support to refugees in an NGO. She acts also as an external examiner at the Polish Instytut Gestalt in Krakow and has worked in the psychiatric field for several years.
She is member of national and international (clinical) Gestalt theory groups (DVG, IAAGT) and was on the editorial board of the German-language journal for Gestalt therapy for many years. She publishes in German and English and is particularly interested in the impact of field-oriented and relational Gestalt therapy approaches, and related questions of aesthetics and resonance.
